The local community are invited to bring friends and family along to Arborfield Green’s first summer event, a lively picnic on the green this weekend.
On Saturday 22 July there will be something for everyone at the former garrison as the area comes alive with family entertainment including a range of sports and games to take part in, bouncy castle, football skills by the Arborfield Aces, kids arts and crafts, a smoothie bike and even a raffle. Don’t forget to bring your own bike along to receive free bike marking or take part in the challenging bike obstacle course run by Sprocketts.
After all that activity, there will be plenty of opportunity to relax. Bring your own picnic or enjoy the barbecue and take in the surroundings while the kids are occupied.
The event is running from 12pm to 3pm, with family games of rounders and cricket taking place at 12.30pm and 2pm.
Picnic on the Green has been organised by Crest Nicholson at Arborfield Green in partnership with the Army Welfare Service and Wokingham Borough Council.
