Waterman’s View, the first phase of this new Garden Village development, is set in stunning countryside within commutable distance to Reading and London
Award-winning developer Crest Nicholson has announced it will launch the very first homes at Arborfield Green, a stunning new garden village development nestled in the attractive Berkshire countryside, within easy reach of Reading and London, on 21 and 22 May 2016.
The first phase of Arborfield Green, named Waterman’s View is a collection of 90 private homes comprised of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses.
The initial launch is due to take place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May exclusively at Haslams Estate Agents on Friar Street in Reading, where prospective buyers can act quickly to reserve a selection of 2 bedroom apartments. The further 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses are due to become available in late Summer 2016.
When the entire Arborfield Green development is complete, the site will consist of around 2,000 homes, new primary and secondary schools, a library and a gym. There will also be a district centre with shops, food stores, bars and restaurants and a doctors’ surgery.
The Garden Village site is surrounded by green open space and perfect for those who enjoy an active or outdoors based lifestyle. Once complete Arborfield Green will include over 2.5km of new bridleways and 5km of new footpaths, alongside 3 acres of new play areas and 4km of new cycle-paths.
As part of the development Crest Nicholson has also committed to creating new areas of country parkland to encourage biodiversity as well as providing open spaces for residents. The newly created Hazebrook Park which is situated adjacent to Waterman’s View will be open in time for the first property completions in Autumn 2016.
The hustle and bustle of Reading town centre remains within easy reach, as does its excellent shopping and entertainment facilities just a 23 minute drive away. Ranked in the top 25 Guardian Good University guide, students may also wish to consider the excellent education opportunities presented by the University of Reading.
Arborfield Green’s convenient location only 4 miles from the M4 motorway means residents will have easy access into London and Bristol. Wokingham Station is also just 3.5 miles away, with train journeys into London Paddington via Reading taking just 49 minutes.
Mary Timlin, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson Regeneration, said: “The upcoming launch of the first phase of Arborfield Green is very exciting for the local area and everyone is involved with this development. We expect there to be very high demand for the initial release, and especially amongst first time buyers hoping to take their first step on the property ladder.
“The 2015 Family Hotspot report named Wokingham as the best place for families to live in the UK – largely on account of its high average salaries, excellent schools and low crime rates. This endorsement for the local area combined with the enviable setting of Arborfield Green is set to prove attractive for the future residents of the development.”
Mike Shearn, Head of New Homes at Haslams Estate Agents explained: “Arborfield Green is set to be a fantastic development that will really benefit the local area, regenerating the old Arborfield Garrison site. We have received a great deal of interest from first time buyers, families and investors alike given the proximity to both Reading and London. We encourage everyone interested to come along to the launch weekend and learn more about this fascinating development.”
