Arborfield Summer Fete: A Bank Holiday Triumph

Arborfield’s yearly summer fete, organised by ENGAGE (Emerging Neighbourhood Group for Arborfield Green Events), proved to be a success this bank holiday weekend. The event welcomed 400 people who enjoyed various funfair games, good food and community spirit.

Local groups and businesses set up their stalls to offer a diverse range of activities, from the Police to Mindset Unlimited, to local brewery, Mysterious Brewing. Children were able to enjoy the bouncy castle, testing their skills at hooking a duck and aiming for the coconuts in the classic coconut shy. Some lucky residents were able to purchase unique pieces of local art and pottery.

The Chair of ENGAGE, Sophie Ames, described the event as “amazing” and that there is, “clearly more need for events like this in the area”. ENGAGE is already gearing up for their next event and are keen to make it even better than the last.
