ENGAGE & The Community Team

ENGAGE

ENGAGE is a committee group involved in organising events for the community in and around Arborfield. In 2024, they were incredibly busy putting on great events for the community. Over the summer, they hosted their first School’s Out Summer Disco for primary school children to celebrate the end of the school year, which was a great success, with over 100 children attending – it’s one to mark in the diary for next year. During the summer holidays, they also organised a Treasure Hunt in collaboration with the Stables Café, and on the Bank Holiday, they held their third Annual Summer Fête, attracting over 500 locals as well as visitors from further afield! The game stalls were a big hit, with children enjoying Hook a Duck, Jar Hoopla, and Ball in a Bucket, to name a few.

In October, they hosted the Oktober FoodFest, returning for a second year. ENGAGE was also very busy over Christmas, organising a Christmas Shopping Evening in early November. The highlight of the year was the second Holly Jolly Jingle Fest on 14th December, featuring a Christmas market during the day and a children’s disco in the evening.

The Community team

The Community team at Arborfield Green also works closely with residents, particularly young people, hosting fun events and ensuring your voice is heard in the development.

For example, last summer, the community team at Crest Nicholson led a bulb planting event for 11 students aged 11–14 from the ecological society at Bohunt Secondary School. Crest Nicholson provided the pupils with all the necessary planting equipment to plant bulbs, seeds, and flowers that bloomed later that year.

We run quarterly community liaison group meetings attended by our resident representatives, where Crest Nicholson shares development updates and key stakeholders can ask questions.

We’re here to help! For more information, please email community@arborfieldgreen.co.uk.
