On Saturday 24th March 2018, residents from the local community were welcomed into the Arborfield Green Community Centre to enjoy a family fun day. The event, which was organised and sponsored by Crest Nicholson, provided the opportunity for local community groups and businesses to come together and share information with visitors.
Although the spring weather failed to arrive, this did not dampen the day, with many people attending, and also venturing into the courtyard area to meet the animals from the mobile farm. There were performances from Bohunt School, Zumba, Academie De Danse, and a variety of activities were on offer throughout the day, including, Easter bonnet making, biscuit decorating, and the chance to try and beat the Arborfield Ace’s goalie in a penalty shootout.
Thames Valley Police and Lowland Berkshire Search and Rescue were also on hand to talk about the services that they provide to the local community, and members of the public had the opportunity to look inside the emergency response vehicles that were on display.
Anil Bungar, Senior Development Director for Crest Nicholson said:
“We are very proud to have hosted this Easter event for both the new and existing community at Arborfield Green. The day was fun-filled and also informative for both children and adults alike. We are developing a calendar of regular events for Arborfield Green and now look forward to an exciting summer event for local families.”
